Mile 4: Use your resources wisely.
Despite the best economic climate in decades, many people in our country are struggling financially. The savings rate is at the lowest level in 70 years, and personal consumer debt continues to rise dramatically, far exceeding increases in income. There has also been a dramatic rise in the number of single parent mothers who often experience financial distress. There were 1.4 million personal bankruptcies in our country last year. All of this places enormous stress on the fabric of the family. 56 percent of all divorces result from financial tension in the home. What can be done? God has given over 2,350 verses in His Word on how to deal with money and be faithful stewards.

Crown small group studies expand the teaching of God´s principles for handling income beyond the area of giving. In the Crown study you will learn what Scripture teaches about managing all your possessions. These topics are included:

Getting Out of Debt
Giving
Spending
Earning Money
Saving
Budgeting
Training Children
Investing

The study is very practical. Each time you learn a principle, you will apply what you have learned. For example, you will complete a debt repayment schedule and start a budget. Students in the adult study receive a Student Manual, the Practical Application Workbook and a copy of the book Your Money Counts.

Graduates have confirmed that marriages are being strengthened and individuals are getting out of debt. They also are becoming consistent savers, generous givers, and prudent consumers. Most importantly, people are entering into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ as they learn to apply His Word.
